A typical HerbiGuide inquiry could be "What herbicides can be
used on a lupin crop at the 2 leaf stage to control Annual
ryegrass, Bromegrass and Wild Oats, all at the 3-4 leaf stage.
The CROP Tab is clicked, then Lupins is double clicked to show the stages and the 2 leaf stage is chosen by clicking it with the mouse.
Alternatively "L" for lupins can be typed and the bar will move to the crops
starting with L.
The "PROBLEM DEFINITION" window on the top now shows Lupins at the two leaf stage has been selected.
The WEED Tab is clicked to move into the Weed Menu.
Annual ryegrass is selected at the 3-4 leaf stage in a similar manner to the crop.
Clicking the PHOTO button will display photographs of Annual Ryegrass.
Great Brome is selected by Clicking it and the appropriate stage.
Clicking the DIAGRAM Button reassures you that you have not mixed it up with
Barley grass or something else.
Wild Oats is selected and the DESCRIPTION Button clicked to check out it description and biology.
The list of weeds to be controlled is now shown in the PROBLEM DEFINITION window.
Clicking the HERBICIDE SOLUTIONS Tab generates a list of herbicides for this problem.
Herbicides are displayed showing the label rates and trial rates.
You may easily compare the various products and their costs for this particular set of weeds.
The OPTIONS button allows you to re sort then on the basis of cost or active ingredient.
Other comments that may affect your choice of herbicide are included below the rates.
On the right the rainfastness, withholding period, methods of application and active ingredient are shown.
